Soon after arriving at Palmyra, we knew we had found the one. The location is outstanding as the house is surrounded with magnificent views of both mountains and the sea. Located halfway between Westport and Louisburgh, serious shopping as well as running the quick errand is quick and easy. We spent one holiday exploring just the immediate area and we were amazed at all we discovered. However, easy day trips can be made to Achill, Sligo, Connemara, and of course, Clare Island. After location is the house itself, which is outstanding. The house is full of natural light with large windows that bring the splendid outdoors right into the room. Every amenity is attended to - plenty of hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, soft luxurious beds, exceptionally comfortable chairs and lounge...and the house is spotless. This is by far the cleanest house we have ever rented. In fact, when I get home, I attempt to clean my own house to Hilary's standards. And that brings us to Hilary and Felix , the owners, who embody all the welcoming hospitality and friendliness for which Ireland is so well-known. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay!"
